On our first visit to the villa as potential buyers we stood on the terrace and said "If you can't catch a dream once in a lifetime, why are we here?"
I Cinghiali is a wonderful villa, restored to the highest standards, full of books and music and a huge dining table.
Some of our guests have come back 4,5,6 and even 7 times in all seasons. It could be just the place to catch your dream.

The property is situated on an acre of land on a hillside overlooking the ruins of a tenth century fortress.
At the bottom of the hill, just 6 minutes away, is the bustling township of Piazza al Serchio.
It's fascinating to be part of village life, even for only a week, where lining up for one's deli items amongst the locals, part of whose daily activities is to connect with other villagers and shop for their 'daily bread', is a treat not often available in our own cultures.

We purchased the villa, with considerable difficulty, and spent two years having it restored by an amazing local team of tradesmen, instructed by fax from Australia in our less than perfect Italian. The result was stunning and the villa has been enjoyed by ourselves and many guests in the past years.
In 1998 we restored the old barn into a studio; perfect accommodation for a couple or small family.
"I Cinghiali" is our home, not just a rental property and we like to make sure each rental is a win-win situation.
